What We Do

Junior Section

The Junior Section is focused on children, aged between 9 and 12 years old. The wise words, from the book of Proverbs, teaches us to:

“Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

– Proverbs 22:6 (ESV)

Therefore, the programmes designed for this Section are aimed to nurture and develop Christian character, values and leadership qualities in each member, according to their potential, gifts and talents. The programmes, with the help of our volunteers who love children, create a safe environment for the Juniors to grow, learn and play. The activities, carried out for the awards curricular, are less exam-centric and delivered in an interactive manner through class discussions, group dynamics, presentations and field trips, wherever applicable.

Awards

The Awards curricular for the Junior Section is a module-based curricular that caters to the different entry levels of each members. The curricular focuses on four core aspects of development, which are the Head (Knowledge), Heart (Character), Hands/Body (Physical Fitness and Drill) and Life Skills (inclusive of Communication, Social, Self-Management and others).

These aspects can be compiled and achieved through the below 6 colour awards:
